Dorothy Secol, CLA has over 25 years experience in the legal profession. Ms. Secol serves on the Paralegal Committee of the
New Jersey State Bar Association of which she is a past Co-Chair, and on the Real Property, Trust & Estates Section. She also is a member of the mortgage foreclosure sub-committee. Ms. Secol is a member of the Paralegal Advisory Boards of Brookdale Community College and Ocean County College. She is a member of the Ocean Twp. Dispute Resolution Committee and is a mediator for Ocean Township, Deal, Allenhurst and Loch Arbor Municipal Courts. Ms. Secol also holds a New Jersey Title Producer's License. She is a member of the
National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and the
Legal Assistants Association of New
Jersey.
Ms. Secol is the author of
Starting and Managing Your Own Business: A Freelancing Guide for
Paralegals, and has written numerous articles for legal publications. She presents seminars on real estate, ethics and law office management.
Peggy E. Stalford, LA
has worked in the legal profession for over 25 years. She serves as the first Paralegal Bankruptcy Trustee in the District of New Jersey, having been appointed by the U.S. Justice Department in 1987. She is a United States Bankruptcy Court Mediator. She is an Associate Member of the
New Jersey State Bar Association and serves as member of the Bankruptcy Section and is a past Co-Chair of the Paralegal Committee of that Association. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Paralegal Program at Ocean County College. She is a member of the
American Bankruptcy Institute and
National Association of Bankruptcy
Trustees.
Ms. Stalford has presented seminars on bankruptcy and law office management to attorneys, paralegals and paralegal students, and written several articles for legal publications.
